Tutorial about how to create a corporate website with Drupal

This tutorial takes for granted that we start from a clean installation of drupal.

1. create each of the main pages of our website

we must go to: “create content” -> “Page” ( node/add/page )

from here we create several pages eg about us, services, products, etc.. For each page we follow the following steps:

- Enter the title

- Enter the title of the menu item

- Select the menu parent element: “primary links

- Enter the content in the body textarea

- In the input format select the option for full HTML so you can enter full HTML content.

- In comments we ensure the comments are off because in a corporate website is not usual to let people leave comments.

 - In publishing options if we want, we can publish or unpublish this particular page .

2. Arrange the order of the menu items.

For this we are going to a:  “Administer” -> “Site contruction” -> “Menus” -> “Primary links” (admin/build/menu-customize/primary-links) and here with the pointer of the mouse we can drag each items and set the desired position..

3. Create the home page.

4. Removed the login block

View the tutorial about how to remove the login block

5. Replace the drupal logo by your own company logo.

For that matter goto the global configuration of the templates /admin/build/themes/settings/global and uncheck "Use the default logo" and upload your own logo

6. Set a slogan

Go to site information admin/settings/site-information and in the "Slogan" field set your slogan

7. Set a mission message

In the same section of site information admin/settings/site-information also set the mission y the “Mission” field

8. Set your footer

And the same thing for the footer message.

And that's all now we have a corporate website with a basic structure. In future tutorials we will talk about how to extend this structure.
